1. Tell us about yourself?

  • It’s okay to talk about your hobbies and interests but keep it brief. Try and focus on related work experience. Remember having related work experience will put you ahead of the competition.

2. What can you tell us about T-Mobile?

  • T-Mobile is the third-largest wireless carrier in the United States.
  • T-Mobile US head office is in Bellevue, WA.
  • Deutsche Telekom (German telecommunications company) is a large shareholder of T-Mobile.
  • The company was founded in 1994 as VoiceStream Wireless by John W. Stanton.
  • Metro by T-Mobile offers prepaid wireless services.

We did start with a simple manifesto, as we called it, which was a description of what we were about, and it was the Un-carrier. It was about finding and solving customer pain points in an attempt to fix a stupid, broken, arrogant industry. It was something we felt passionate about. It was our goal to make changes and have the industry make the same ones.

3. Why do you want to work at T-Mobile?

  • Say would like to grow your career in the telecommunications industry and feel like T-Mobile is the place to do it. Follow up with the fact that you are impressed with all the awards T-Mobile has won.
  • Mention you admire T-Mobiles commitment to the environment. State you would love to work for a company that planted 27,000 trees on earth day and is committed to converting their headquarters to using 100% renewable energy

4. What is your greatest strength?

  • The best way to respond to this question is to describe the skills and experience that you have which directly correlate with the job you are applying for. Therefore review the job description and reassure the interviewer that you have the experience and skills to do the job.

5. What is your greatest weakness?

6. Who are our competitors?

  • Several of T-Mobile competitors are AT&T, Verizon, Comcast, Spectrum, Altice, Cox, Cricket, and Earthlink.

7. What are your salary expectations?

  • This is a stressful question because if you ask for too much, you will not get the job and if you ask for too little, they will gladly underpay you.
  • Be sure to research salary expectations for your role before you go into the interview. There are plenty of sites that will discuss salary ranges.
  • If you don’t know what to say, ask what the salary range is?  You can then counter with the high end of the range.

What should I wear to my T-Mobile Interview?

Entry-Level Position

  • Black shows leadership and is great if you’re going for a senior position.
  • Red sends a message that you’re assertive and will work well in fields like sales.
  • Orange is apparently the worst color to wear for a job interview, with it being linked to unprofessionalism.
