  • The parent company is L. Brands.
  • In 2009, Pink opened its first stand-alone store in Canada.

2. Who are Pinks Competitors

  • Their competitors include Abercrombie & Fitch and Aerie by American Eagle.
  • Note! Don’t say Victoria’s Secret as a competitor. Remember Pink and Victoria Secret belong to the same parent company – L Brands.

3. Why should Pink hire you?

6. What is your greatest weakness?

7. Name a time when you went above and beyond for a customer?

  • Customers love when you go above and beyond for them which will, in turn, generate more business. Try and think of a time you went above and beyond for a customer.
  • For example, in my last job I worked at a fast-food chain.  There was a senior citizen at the restaurant and he had finished his meal.  It started to rain and he was worried as he did not have an umbrella. Luckily I had an umbrella, so I walked him to his car sheltering him from the rain.

8. How would you deal with an upset customer?

Here are several steps to deal with an upset customer

  • Listen and let the customer vent.
  • Show the customer you care.
  • Don’t blame the customer or the company.
  • Try to solve the problem or find someone who can.
  • Don’t make promises you can’t keep.

9. Name a time when you had a conflict with a coworker and how did you resolve it?

It is only natural to have occasional conflicts at work.  The important thing is how you and your colleague came up with a positive outcome.

For example, when I worked in retail, I stocked shelves and placed the items that I thought had the most marketing appeal at eye level.

My manager instructed me to put perishable products or merchandise with high-profit margins at eye level for an average person when stocking shelves.

While discussing this issue, I paid attention to what my manager said and did not argue. I admitted my mistake and stocked shelves the way my manager asked me to. I also felt I gained a valuable lesson in marketing.

  • Arrive 10 minutes early.
  • Turn off your smartphone.
  • Learn as much as you can about the company.
  • Don’t speak too fast as you will sound nervous.
