  • PepsiCo was formed in 1965 when Pepsi-Cola and Frito-Lay merged.
  • PepsiCo is known for a wide variety of drinks such as Pepsi, Mountain Dew, Gatorade, Aquafina, Mug Root Beer, and many more.
  • The company also produces Lays, Ruffles, Quaker Oats, Cheetos, Tostitos, Cracker Jack, Life Cereal, and many other products.
  • At one time PepsiCo owned Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, and KFC but sold them in 1997.

8. What are your salary expectations?

  • This is a stressful question because if you ask for too much, you will not get the job and if you ask for too little, they will gladly underpay you.
  • Be sure to research salary expectations for your role before you go into the interview. There are plenty of sites that will discuss salary ranges.
  • If you don’t know what to say, ask what the salary range is?  You can then counter with the high end of the range. 

9. Can you explain why is there a gap in your resume?

Why do you want to be a sales representative for PepsiCo? 

When I read the job description there are two skills that PepsiCo is looking for

  1. Organizational Skills 
  2. Communication Skills 

With those two skills above in mind, here is a sample answer:

  • I feel that I would be a great PepsiCo sales representative because I believe I have excellent communication skills, which will be helpful when dealing with clients.
  • I also believe that I have excellent organizational skills, which will be beneficial when dealing with multiple priorities, problem-solving, and meeting deadlines and targets.

To answer this question correctly you need to show why you have the right experience for the job.

  • The more flexible you are with your availability, the better your chance of getting the job. 

Do you have a valid driver’s license? 

  • The job will require you to meet with clients in person, so you will need a valid driver’s license.

PepsiCo Warehouse Interview Questions

What experience do you have in a warehouse setting, particularly in the food and beverage industry?

  • Try to state related experience working at a warehouse or handling food inventory or both.
  • Example: “In my last job, I worked at a popular fast-food restaurant. At the beginning of each shift, I would conduct an inventory check to ensure we had the proper amount of items to perform our operations. I collaborated with the supplier to place orders and followed up on deliveries.”

How do you prioritize tasks and ensure efficient workflow in a fast-paced warehouse environment?

  • In a fast-paced warehouse environment, I assess the criticality of tasks based on deadlines, customer requirements, and production schedules. If I ever encounter difficulty in meeting any of these deadlines, I proactively seek help to ensure successful completion. Additionally, I am always ready to assist others facing similar challenges, promoting a collaborative and supportive work atmosphere.

How do you handle the organization and storage of perishable items to minimize waste and spoilage?

  • I prioritize using the First in First Out (FIFO) method, where newly received perishable items are placed at the back of the storage area, and older items are brought to the front. This ensures that older items are used before they reach their expiration date.

Safety is a top priority in any warehouse, especially one dealing with food and beverage products. How do you contribute to maintaining a safe working environment?

  • I strictly adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines set by the company and relevant regulatory agencies. This includes wearing appropriate personal protective equipment, following safe lifting techniques, and complying with food handling and hygiene standards.

Suppose you notice discrepancies between inventory records and physical stock. What steps would you take to investigate and resolve these discrepancies?

  • I would check the inventory records to confirm whether what I suspect is a discrepancy actually exists. If it turns out to be a discrepancy, I would promptly contact the supplier to ensure that the problem is resolved.
