  • After you apply online Capital One will contact you and give you a video interview.  The interview will more than likely be conducted using the video conference tool Zoom.
  • The interview is a case interview.  A case interview is a hypothetical business situation that is presented during an interview process to determine how a candidate thinks about a particular problem and how they would solve it.

What should I wear to a Capital One Interview?

Men

  • Your best bet is to wear a suit and tie.  You may feel overdressed if you’re not used to wearing them, but this is a bank so you need to dress formally or at the very least business casually.  
  • Choose a tie that matches your shirt and suit and avoid novelty ties.
  • Dark socks are probably your best bet. You don’t want to be remembered as that guy with the brightly colored socks.

Women

  • Since this is a bank women need to dress formally or at the very least business casually.
  • If you wear a skirt, make sure it’s not too short or tight, and keep heels at a sensible height.

Colors

  • Blue tells employers that you’re credible and trustworthy,
  • Black shows leadership and is great if you’re going for a senior position.
  • White shows you are organized and looking for a fresh start. 
  • Orange is the worst color to wear for a job interview, with it being linked to unprofessionalism.

How would you deal with an upset customer?

It is okay to disagree with your boss but make sure the scenario comes to a peaceful resolution.

We had decided to try her way one week and my approach the next week and let the total amount of sales decide which one was better.
