Example

I feel you should hire me due to my previous experience working in retail.

During my time at my previous employer, I gained valuable customer service, sales, and inventory management experience.

In regards to customer service experience, I worked in the men’s clothes department. Here I was able to listen to the customers and make sure their needs were met.

I was able to tell them about new products and potentially upsell them with new products. This is where I gained valuable sales experience.

Finally, I managed the display area of my section and made sure the inventory was displayed to company standards. I also made sure inventory levels were adequate to meet any future demands. This is where I gained inventory management experience.

I feel these skills will transfer well when working as a customer service agent at Enterprise.
